✨ Your idea isn’t too simple

Hey Reader,

The other day, a brilliant new friend came to me via the DMs of Instagramland, and after chatting on our eerily similar healing paths post-divorce, she asked if she could shoot an idea past me for her first coaching offer.

She messaged, It feels too easy, though. Like… anyone could do this.

She'd mapped out a gentle, grounded path for helping women answer the question about their marriage: Should I stay or should I go? – and reconnect with their inner spark.

It was elegant. Intuitive. So clear.

Far better than my own divorce decision, which went about answering that question simply through years of finally landing at sheer, utter, total exhaustion. When no other choice was left–it simply was over. 10/10 not recommended.

So oddly enough, the simple beauty of her approach was exactly why she was doubting it.

We’re taught to trust the complicated. To assume that if something flows effortlessly, it must be missing something. That business needs to be dramatic. That transformation requires a 27-step funnel or a multi-page framework.

But simplicity is not a flaw. It’s a dang fine feature.

The Messy → Magical Shift

I DM'd back: Of course it feels easy to you–you’ve lived it, refined it, embodied it. Your unique life brilliance is baked in.

And I could see the shift in her vibe with the lovely string of emojis I got back.

Thing thins is... what feels obvious to you is often exactly what someone else is desperate for.

We overcomplicate when we stop trusting our lived experience. When we believe our offer has to sound impressive instead of feel true.

But the best offers aren’t built on performance. They’re built on resonance.

One client told me my program helped her "finally feel like her feet were on the ground again."

She didn’t say, "Wow, Becca, your 4 proprietary transformation pillars and life experience-informed value stack blew me away."

She said, "I felt like me again."

That’s the kind of magic feeling simple statements create.

✨ 3 Ways to Trust Your Simple

  1. Easy doesn’t mean empty. If it came through you with clarity, it’s likely to land with clarity too. Don’t underestimate resonance. The very things you breeze past may be the pieces others need permission to claim.
  2. Validate with real humans, not just your inner critic. Test it. Talk it out. Watch someone light up when you explain it simply. Ask: "Did that make sense? Could you see yourself in it?" Let reflection guide refinement.
  3. Package clarity like a gift, not a performance. Your job isn’t to sound smart. It’s to make it safe for your people to say yes. A clear offer makes your clients feel seen, capable, and calm. That’s not Insta fluff–that’s magnetic power.

A Spark of Inspiration:

"The clearest truth is often the quietest, simplest one."

Simplicity is a sign of mastery. When you're no longer trying to prove anything, you can finally say what matters most.

💬 Your Turn
What’s one simple idea you’ve been undervaluing?

What if that idea–the one that feels "too obvious"–is exactly where your next offer begins?

I’d truly love to hear, my lovely friend. I read each message. Obsessively. Okay, obsessive-ish. Fiiiiiine, just a smidge obsessively. It's because I love what I do. ;)

Grateful for you.

Hey Reader, I was sitting in front of my laptop, doing that thing where you open your inbox but don't really look at it. There were names in there–past connections stashed into folders, people I admire, folks who had reached out before, potential collaborators. All I had to do was craft a note. Hit reply. Say hello. Reconnect. But my fingers hovered, paralyzed. The familiar little noggin' gremlins started chattering: "What if you come off pushy?" "Is this just a veiled sales attempt?" "They...

Hey Reader, Ah yes, a brand new year...ripe for reinvention, but often coated in pressure to be “ready” and “clear” when most of us feel more like caterpillars in mid-melt. A client messaged me last week in full-blown January panic. "I should’ve done my vision board by now. Everyone's already launching things and talking about their big plans. I can’t even decide what I want. Am I just lazy?" When we got on a call, she was surrounded by a half-used planner, a pile of unopened business books,...

Hey Reader, It was December 31st and I was staring at a blank Google Doc titled “2026 Vision." I had lit the candle. I had made the coffee. I had opened the beautiful notion template an entrepreneurial friend had sent me with prompts like “What are your top 3 business goals?” and “Where do you want to be in 12 months?” And still–nada. I had waiting until the very last minute. It wasn’t burnout. It wasn’t laziness. It was something quieter when I paused and really listened: resistance. The...
